Making a Meaningful Difference

50 students supported. One local school reached. One community partnership is making a meaningful difference.

Unfinished Empowerment Organization recently partnered with Jae Jones Farm, a youth-owned farm in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to raise funds for the organization’s Just In Case Kits initiative. Through this collaboration, the organizations made their first donation of 50 personal-hygiene kits to female students at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg.

Each Just In Case Kit includes personal-care items such as hygiene wipes, undergarments, and menstrual products. While these items may seem simple, access to them can make a significant difference in a student’s day. When students have the necessities they need, they are better positioned to feel comfortable, confident, present, and ready to learn.

More Than a Hygiene Kit

The Just In Case Kits initiative is built on a simple but powerful belief: no student should have to navigate the school day without access to basic personal-care necessities.

For many young women, an unexpected need for hygiene products or clean undergarments can cause embarrassment, distraction, or even missed instructional time. These kits help remove one small but important barrier by providing practical support when it is needed most.

More importantly, each kit carries a message beyond its contents: You are seen. You are valued. Your well-being matters.
